9/5/2008Several local residents were targeted in a phone scam recently originating from Canada.
8/27/2008Members have reported receiving a phone call or recorded message regarding their Northeast Credit Card and are prompted to call an 800 number and provide information that would compromise the security of their credit card account.
8/6/2008The news story that was released on 8/5/08 regarding the 11 people who have been charged with targeting retailers and stealing credit/debit card numbers, is a follow up to the TJX, BJ's and other merchants incidents that have happened over the last few years. This is not a new breach of credit/debit card information.
